This program can be a stepping stone to other profession like Maine Registered Nurse, Maine Licensed Practical Nurse, or even Maine Dental Hygienist.

CNA CURRICULUM:
For courses starting on or after January 1, 2010: Instructors must use the 180 hour curriculum and the program must be 180 hours in length.

WHAT A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT DOES:
You will work under the direct supervision of a nurse and will follow her direction daily. The work can be strenuous as you may be assigned multiple residents/patients in a nursing or assisted living facility. You may be assisting with feeding, dressing, personal hygiene, transferring, and other necessary documentation for taking blood pressure, behaviors, voiding, fluid and meal intakes etc.
